According to the Paso Robles Police Chief, the suspicious package outside the Walmart on Niblick Road Thursday was a lunch bag filled with trash.
The bag contained an empty can of light and dark meat chicken and a wheatberry bread wrapper.
Police were worried about the bag because it was located next to propane tanks outside of the building.
Police have removed the barricades and let everyone back into the store and surrounding businesses.
The roadway between Niblick and Serenade off South River Road has re-opened.
Paso Robles Police were initially called out to the scene at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services and San Luis Obispo County Bomb Task Force were also called out to help. The Bomb Task Force deployed its robot at 1:15 p.m.
