CEYLANPINAR, Turkey (AP) - Officials and witnesses say a Syrian jet has resumed bombing a rebel-held region near the border with Turkey.

An Associated Press video journalist saw the jet strike an area around the Syrian town of Ras al-Ayn, just across the border from the Turkish town of Ceylanpinar, for a second day today.

An official from the Ceylanpinar mayor's office said the jet struck an area near the Turkish border "five times within a period of 10 minutes." He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to reporters.

The rebels wrested control of Ras al-Ayn from the regime forces last week.

An estimated 20 people died during the air raid in Ras al-Ayn on Monday and another eight people died of wounds in Turkey.
