Tanglewood resident Javier Bravo, Sr. was rewarded $5,000 by a Los Angeles jury Friday.
Back in 2006, a SWAT team entered his home after the Santa Barbara Police Department obtained a search warrant.
Officials were looking for firearms, ammunition, and other evidence used in a gang-related shooting in which Bravo Sr.'s son was a suspect.
Officials say Javier Bravo, Jr. was actually in jail at the time.
An employee from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office testified that she had received a call regarding the custody status of Javier Bravo, Jr. from Santa Maria Police, but said she may have accidentally omitted information regarding his status.
