Teacher arrested for alleged unlawful sex

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) A Burbank middle school teacher who allegedly had a relationship with one of her students has been charged with unlawful sex with a minor.
Police say 33-year-old Amy Beck surrendered at the Burbank Police Department headquarters on Monday.
She is alleged to have had a relationship with one of her male students from March to September 2009.
Burbank police spokesman Keith Sterling says the boy was 14 at the time.
Beck is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on five counts. She faces up to seven years in prison if convicted of all charges.
