Seventeen year old cyclist Thomas Jessop hopes to get the half homeless back on their feet by riding from coast to coast.
He says the main goal of this bike ride is to raise funding for the Safe Parking Program, that he says could ultimately help thousands of families who are struggling to find a place to sleep.
Jessop told KSBY News, "These are people who are like you and me who are middle class who have just lost their homes through no fault of their own and we're trying to catch them before their outright homeless before their on the streets while they still have a car a little bit of normalcy and help them get back on their feet."
Thomas is leaving September 2. he says it will take about two month to get to washington, DC. He will stay in DC working for a month before heading to Miami, FL, before heading back to the Central Coast.
