Marcy Carsey, an Emmy-winning television producer, has been named chair of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation Board of Trustees.
With partner Tom Werner, Carsey co-founded the Carsey Werner Company, which is responsible for the television hits, "The Cosby Show", "Roseanne", "3rd Rock from the Sun", "That 70's Show", and "Grace Under Fire".
Carsey has been a member of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation for 14 years. She also sits on the advisory board for UCSB's Carsey-Wolf Center for Film, Television, and New Media. Her two children are UCSB graduates.
Carsey will take over the role of board chair on July 1.
