Low clouds early near the coast and a mix of high clouds will filter some sunshine on Friday and result in another day of wide differences in temperature. Some of the cooler beaches will be in the lower 60s while coastal valleys get in the 70s and interior valleys again reach the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Thursday saw Paso Robles set a record high at 85, 85 would also set a record on Friday if it happens. I think we'll be very close, the high clouds could produce a few degrees of cooling. Normal interior high temperatures this time of year are about 66 degrees.
Temperatures may cool a few more degrees over the weekend with a little higher breeze but a little better clearing of early marine clouds near the coast.
Clouds increase on Tuesday before some showers on Wednesday along with a sharper cooldown. Rain is definitely welcome but this is no soaker, less than .25" amounts are likely.
