The Templeton High baseball team clinched a share of its first-ever Los Padres League title on Tuesday with a 7-5 win at Cabrillo. The Eagles improved to 18-3 overall and 10-1 in league. They hold a one game lead over second place Lompoc with a Friday showdown at Templeton between the two teams on tap at 4:30 pm.
The Eagles broke open a 3-3 game in the fifth inning with four runs. Taylor Tobin had a two-run bases loaded single. Tyler Kollmann added an RBI double in the first inning and finished 2 for 3 at the plate. Justin Syracuse and Tyrus Yamagata finished with two hits each for the Eagles.
Kollmann improved to 9-0 on the mound. Evan Peterson came into get the save for Templeton.
