Templeton loses to Vistamar in second round of CIF

The Templeton boys volleyball team's historic season ended with a 3-1 loss to Vistamar in the second round of the Division 4 CIF playoffs on Thursday. The Eagles, who were ranked 10th in the final poll of the season, fell 16-25, 19-25, 25-16 and 20-25.

Templeton finished with a 16-2 overall record. Vistamar, the 7th seed, improved to 23-5 and advanced to Saturday's quarterfinals.

6-6 junior Henri Cherry led the Eagles with 14 kills and 5 blocks. Tobey Isbell added 13 kills and 3 blocks. Eric Lahargou dished out 21 assists.

The Templeton loss means there are no more Central Coast volleyball teams left in the postseason.

The Eagles lose five seniors to graduation, including Lahargou and Isbell.
