Templeton residents cut water usage by 25%

The Templeton Community Services District says its customers have reduced their water usage by 25% over last year.

The average water production in June 2013 was 2,199,906 gallons per day. In June 2014, it was 1,650,784.

In March, the Templeton Community Services District Board of Directors declared a Level 1 Water Supply Shortage and put in place certain water conservation measures. Those measures prohibit landscape watering between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., limits landscape watering to three days per week, prohibits the use of water to wash off sidewalks and driveways, and limits the use of water to wash vehicles.
