Just in time for that big turkey dinner that's coming up in a few days, students at one local middle school run to promote staying healthy.
The 8th annual Templeton Middle School Turkey Trot takes place Tuesday. It's a half-mile race aimed at bringing awareness of childhood obesity.
It all begins at 11:00a.m., with special events like "Smoking the Turkey," when the kids try to outrun a teacher, who is dressed up in a turkey suit.
