A Templeton teenager has died after an off-roading accident in Inyokern, California.

Stetson Anthony Pahler, 14, was killed Saturday after he lost control of his dirt bike and was thrown off, according to Kern County Sheriff's. He was a student at Templeton High School, and was better known as "Stevie."

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on Burro Schmidt Tunnel Road near Hwy. 178. Pahler was transferred to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital after the incident, where he later died.

Officers say Pahler was wearing a helmet. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
