The Templeton boys volleyball team is the only Central Coast team left standing after the first round of the CIF playoffs. The Eagles beat El Rancho in their Division 4 opener on Tuesday night 24-26, 25-23, 25-20 and 25-19.
The Los Padres League champion Eagles host Vistamar at 6pm on Thursday in a second round match. Templeton is 16-1, while Vistamar is 22-5 after its 25-14,25-18 and 25-14 first round win over Garey.
Pac 7 champion Arroyo Grande, St. Joseph, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Nipomo and Santa Ynez saw their seasons end on Tuesday with first round losses.
