Ten area basketball teams ranked in CIF preseason polls

The CIF-Southern Section released its preseason basketball polls on Tuesday and a total of ten Central Coast squads are ranked in the top 16 of their respective divisions. The Atascadero and St. Joseph girls, as well as the Mission Prep boys are the highest ranked teams respectively. Noticeably absent from their divisions are the Morro Bay and Templeton girls, as well as the Santa Maria boys.
