Ten area teams resume CIF title hunts Wednesday

Ten Central Coast teams continue their quests for CIF titles on Wednesday. Four boys soccer teams, three of which will be at home, look to earn spots in the quarterfinals. Arroyo Grande girls water polo battles Los Osos in the Division 3 semifinals down in Irvine. Five area girls basketball teams play quarterfinal games today with spots in Saturday's semifinals on the line.

Palmdale (22-4-2) @ NIPOMO (14-9-4), 5 pm
Division 5
Godinez (13-2-4) @ RIGHETTI (15-8-1), 5 pm
ARROYO GRANDE (17-10-1) @ Tahquitz (11-8-5), 4:30 pm

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Division 3A
#4 SAN LUIS OBISPO (17-10) @ South Pasadena (22-5), 7 pm
-SLO has won 7 in a row and is in its first quarterfinal game since 1995

Division 3AA
#2 Santa Barbara (21-7) @ ATASCADERO (18-11), 7 pm
-SB beat Atascadero 72-45 on 12/27

Division 4AA
#1 Windward (27-0) @ MORRO BAY (23-3), 6 pm
-Windward is ranked #3 in US
-Morro Bay has won 17 in a row and is in its first quarterfinal since 2005

Division 4A
#3 ST. JOSEPH (19-8) @ Cantwell Sacred Heart (17-9), 7pm
- Knights playing in first Elite 8 since winning CIF State title in 2011

Division 6
Capistrano Valley (12-8) @ #1 VALLEY CHRISTIAN (21-2), 5pm
-VCA made semis in ‘11 and ‘12
