They protect and serve, but can they stay in tune? Look out for Caroling Cops!

They might not be dashing through the snow, but some local police officers will be driving their cars around Morro Bay to spread some Christmas cheer.

Each year, the Morro Bay Police Department and the Morro Bay Neighborhood Watch Association holds its Caroling Cops event. For four nights, officers will carol their way through neighborhoods in decorated police cars.

The parades run from 5:00 to 8:30p.m. each night, beginning Tuesday. The schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, 12/8 - North Morro Bay, east of Highway 1 from Zanzibar to Avalon.
  • Wednesday, 12/9 - North Morro Bay, west of Highway 1. The North Morro Bay RV Parks & Harbor Front Tract off of Radcliff.
  • Thursday, 12/10 - South Morro Bay, east of Piney and south of Morro Bay RV Parks.
  • Friday, 12/11 - South Morro Bay, west of Piney Way and the Embarcadero.
