San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a third suspect in connection with the theft and destruction of art pieces in the Cambria area.
Deputies arrested James Scott Armstrong in Cambria Wednesday. They say Armstrong and two other suspects stole brass statues and then deliberately broke them into small pieces to sell at scrap yards for cash.
Shelly Renee Davis and Gustavo Dejesus were taken into custody on March 8 and charged in the string of crimes. The investigation continues as deputies say more potential victims are coming forward.
Armstrong remains in custody on grand theft, possession of stolen property, conspiracy and parole hold charges.
