Thousands of people from all over California lined the streets of Pismo Beach on Saturday for the 34th annual Pismo Beach Marching Band Review.

More than 20 high school and middle school bands from San Luis Obispo County and the Central Valley participated in the event.

A drum line competition was held on the Pismo Pier, and bands were judged on everything from showmanship and marching, to musical performances and street marching.

San Luis Obispo High School Drum Major Nico MacDougall says, "I think we did really well. The drums sounded good and I think the rest of the band sounded really good during the march."

The event is sponsored by the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce.
