It's one of the American Cancer Society's biggest fundraiser and it's held across the country.
Santa Maria had a huge turnout for Relay for Life.
Organizers say more than 3,000 people hit the track at 10 a.m. Saturday.
They'll spend 24 hours walking laps to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society.
Organizers are hoping to raise more money than ever this year and set their goal at $200,000.
The event ends Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.
It's not too late to join the cause.
You can still donate after the event by going to the news links section at KSBY.com.
