A DUI and drivers license checkpoint landed three people in jail Saturday night.

The Santa Maria Police Department held a DUI and drivers license checkpoint in the 600 block of West Main Street between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Police say 112 vehicles were screened. Of the screened vehicles, three drivers were arrested for driving under the influence and two drivers were cited for driving without a license.

Three vehicles were impounded and two of those were being driven by undocumented immigrants, according to police.
