Santa Maria Police say three people were arrested at a DUI checkpoint Friday night.
The checkpoint was held in the 300 block of North Blosser Road from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Officials say three drivers were evaluated for DUI, but only one person was arrested.
Police also arrested 38-year-old Andres Ramirez from Santa Maria for possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, falsely identifying himself to an officer, and driving with a suspended license. Officials say Ramirez had 7.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine in his possession.
Another person was arrested for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
Two drivers were cited for driving with a suspended license, and five drivers were cited for driving without a license.
A total of 1,272 cars passed through the checkpoint.
