Three people arrested in connection with murder

Santa Maria Police have identified the three people arrested in connection with a murder.
Ramon Maldonado, 37, Carmen Cardenas, 28, and Pedro Torres, 54, all of Santa Maria face charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
They were arrested after officers found a man's body in the back of a U-Haul truck on Los Padres Road in Orcutt on Tuesday morning. Police believe the body is connected to a crime scene found at a home on the 1100 block of West Donovan Road in Santa Maria on Monday afternoon. Officers say they found evidence of an assault; however, the man's cause of death has not been released, nor has his age or identity.
