Three St. Joseph High boys basketball coaches will head to China next week to host a clinic for some of the country's top prep players.
As part of his 1Dream Foundation, St. Joseph Athletic Director and head coach Tom Mott is putting on a basketball clinic in Shenzhen, China next week. He will be accompanied by his assistant coaches Garrett Wood and Adrian Hernandez.
A few other coaches from Southern California will also be on hand. They will work with ninety of the top high school-aged players in China.
Mott says Nike is helping to sponsor the camp. Their trip will also involve a brief stay in Hong Kong. Mott says the trip was facilitated by the uncle of a St. Joseph student, who lives in Shenzhen. The uncle helped get the Chinese government and sponsors involved.
