Thunderstorms hammer parts of Los Angeles county and could push further west Friday

The Trueview 6 radar today has been lighting up with thunderstorms in southern and eastern California. The Los Angeles county mountains saw some thunderstorms which produced locally heavy rain and some hail.
The thunderstorm activity was part of the summer monsoon which allows sub-tropical heat and moisture into the West.
In Dave Hovde's forecast video clip you can see where the activity is in relation to the Central Coast.
