The wild weather has Pacific Gas and Electric crews working overtime to restore power to thousands on the Central Coast.
As of 3:30a.m., 2,387 homes or businesses in San Luis Obispo county are without power. Another 900 are in the dark in northern Santa Barbara county. The hardest hit local town is Cambria. About 1,100 customers there are still without power.
PG&E officials say most San Luis Obispo customers will not have their power restored until later Thursday morning, or even Thursday evening. As for the other customers, PG&E has not given us an estimate.
