Tickets now on sale to win Christmas tree, presents

Altrusa International Inc. of the Central Coast kicked off its ninth annual Festival of Trees on Sunday.
Community sponsors came together to decorate the Christmas trees and put presents underneath them.
Tickets are being sold for the trees and presents and the winners will be picked on Dec. 2.
Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
All of the money raised from the event goes back to the community and helps provide scholarships and grants to local high school students.
Organizers say this is one of their biggest fundraisers and they are planning to sell about 40,000 tickets.
The trees are on display at the Santa Maria Shopping Center on South Broadway until Dec. 1.
Hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
