SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Tiger Woods is heading into the weekend with a share of the U.S. Open lead.
Woods had three birdies in a five-hole stretch in the middle of his second round Friday, shooting an even-par 70 to match Jim Furyk and David Toms at 1 under. Furyk shot a 69, and Toms 70.
No other player even had a par score for the tournament on another day The Olympic Club clobbered some of golf's best. Defending champion Rory McIlroy, top-ranked Luke Donald and Masters champion Bubba Watson all likely to miss the cut.
McIlroy was 10 over, Donald 11 over, and Watson 9 over.
