The Fourth of July is just a few days away and the Woods Humane Society has a few tips on how you can keep your dogs safe while fireworks go off.
If you do go out to a celebration, keep your dogs at home. The loud noises and large crowds can scare them.
Leave your pets indoors because frightened dogs can try to break out of backyards and pens when they're scared.
Should your dog get loose, make sure it has proper identification on it so it can be returned home.
And, look for lost dogs on your way home from any events.
