Sami Baker was brilliant in goal for the Titans, but the Nipomo girls water polo team's season came to a heart-breaking end with a 4-3 loss to Pasadena in a CIF Division 5 playoff game on Tuesday.
Baker tallied nearly two dozen saves in goal for Nipomo, including 11 saves and 2 steals in the first half.
The Titans led 1-0 at halftime behind a goal from Stevie Deale.
Pasadena scored three times in the third quarter to lead 3-1 to start the fourth period. Rebecca Gonzalez and Ruby Cueves each scored in the fourth for Nipomo to send the wild card match into overtime.
Pasadena scored the game-winner in the second overtime period.
Nipomo, which finished third in the Los Padres League, ended the season 8-14 overall. Pasadena plays at Warren in Wednesday's first round.
