The Nipomo High girls volleyball team continued its red-hot start to the season. The Titans swept visiting Orcutt Academy in a non-league game on Tuesday night 25-15, 25-12 and 25-4.
The Titans were coming off their win over Santa Ynez, the Pirates' first Los Padres League loss in almost seven years.
Nipomo setter Christina Ozzimo served 17-straight points in the third set. She finished with 11 aces and 27 assists.
Paige Waymire, a senior, led the Titans with 14 kills to go along with 2 aces. Kiana Worth tallied 9 kills and 3 aces for 7-0 Nipomo. Sarah Stahl compiled 13 digs.
The Titans return to LPL play with a match against Morro Bay on Thursday. Nipomo started the week ranked #5 in Division 3A in the CIF coaches poll under head coach David Cassidy.
