Titans sweep Pirates to stay undefeated

The Nipomo High girls volleyball team remained perfect to start the season after a straight-set win over visiting Morro Bay on Thursday in a Los Padres League match.

The Titans won 25-16, 25-22 and 25-15 to improve to 8-0 overall and 2-0 in league.

Paige Waymire led the Titans with 12 kills and 3 aces. Cristina Ozzimo dished out 26 aces. Kiana Worth added 10 kills and 3 digs for the Titans, while Sarah Stahl led Nipomo with 22 digs.

Templeton swept Santa Maria on Thursday to keep pace with the Titans in the league standings. The two play on Tuesday in Nipomo.
