Thursday night's rocket launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base is still a go!
An Atlas V rocket is expected to blast off from the base at 9:24p.m. local time Thursday. Vandenberg says it'll be carrying a national security payload for the US Reconnaissance Office.
Base officials want to let local folks know that the Atlas V rocket is a bit noisier that most other rockets launched from the base.
