Townhouse has major damage after fire in Atascadero

A fire in atownhouse apartment bedroom causes thousands of dollars worth of damage in Atascadero.
The fire broke out yesterday morning just after 7:00 a.m., according to Atascadero City Fire.
The townhouses are located in the 7000 block of Santa Ysabel Road.
When fire crews arrived, they say they could see flames coming from the building's second story and heavy smoke coming from the roofline.
Crews were able to get control of the flames in about 25 minutes, but damage is estimated at about $80,000.
Everyone in the building was able to escape before fire crews arrived.
