The Santa Maria area Toys for Tots drive is asking for your last minute help to meet it's goal.

Organizers say they are nearly 1,200 toys short. Four thousand kids in Santa Maria are registered to receive toys from the organization, but some children could be left out this holiday season if the goal is not reached.

Organizers say that last minute donations can be dropped off at the National Guard Armory at 937 South Thornburg Street in Santa Maria today until 5 p.m., or from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 19.

Donations of unwrapped gifts worth $10 or more are appreciated. Gifts will be distributed to needy families on Sunday, Dec. 20.
