The California Highway Patrol says officers are conducting traffic breaks to try and control traffic that's been backing after a rollover crash in Templeton.
The CHP says a Toyota 4-Runner rolled on northbound Hwy. 101 just before 3:30p.m. Thursday. Traffic is backed up to Atascadero, and CHP officers are now implementing traffic breaks beginning at the Hwy. 41/ Hwy. 101 interchange. Officers encourage drivers to take an alternate route if possible. The CHP says one option includes taking Hwy. 41 to Templeton Road, then to Vineyard and back to Hwy. 101.
CHP officers also want to remind drivers to use caution and maintain a safe following distance, because vehicles may come to an abrupt halt.
A tow truck is on the way to the scene of the crash but is stuck in traffic, according to the CHP.
The CHP says injuries appear to be minor in the solo-vehicle crash.
