Traffic lanes back open on Highway 101 after nine vehicle crash

The California Highway Patrol says all southbound lanes of Highway 101 at the Gaviota curve are back open.

Part of the highway had been temporarily closed after a nine vehicle accident just after 7 a.m. Friday morning. Santa Barbara County fire crews say five people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. Four had minor injuries.

No word yet on what caused that accident.
