San Luis Obispo police arrest a transient they say attacked a teenage girl.

Officers say the 16-year-old girl was walking on the 1000 block of Olive Street Monday afternoon, when 60-year-old Fritz Holmer started walking toward her.

When the two were about to pass each other, officers say Holmer grabbed the girl's arms, pushing her backwards and then onto the ground.

A CHP officer was nearby and says he saw the whole thing. He detained Holmer and called San Luis Obispo police officers.

Holmer was booked into the San Luis Obispo county jail. The girl was not hurt and released to her mother.
