Two Arizona transients who attacked and robbed a San Luis Obispo man last December are headed to jail.

Meghan Gross, 23, and Jeffery Berrett, 25, were sentenced in a San Luis Obispo County courtroom Thursday morning.

Both were charged with assault causing great bodily injury with a deadly weapon, plus enhancements.

Gross must serve 270 days in county jail and three years probation. Berrett must serve one year in county jail and three years probation. Both must pay fines and restitution.

The pair were arrested in Dec. 13, near Phillips and Pepper Streets in San Luis Obispo, after police found a large amount of blood on their clothing. The victim suffered cuts and bruises as well as a broken nose.
