San Luis Obispo will soon be featured on a show on the Travel Channel. Producers were in town Monday to film the Rogue Riders on the last stop of their journey to find the friendliest town in America.

It's all part of the Best of the Road competition. Of the 30 cities that were visited by the Rand McNally/USA Today event only 10 were selected by the Travel Channel film crew.

The crew filmed the judges, Jennifer Jordan and Robert Schatz, as they toured wineries in the SLO wine region, visited the Mission, went zip-lining over vineyards and ate at local restaurants.

San Luis Obispo was the last stop in the friendly category of the competition that included five other towns from Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico and two from Texas.

The announcement of the winners of the competition will be on July 17, and the Travel Channel show will air on July 25, at 8 p.m.
