Trial resumes for local firefighter accused of assault

The trial continued Monday for the San Luis Obispo City firefighter accused of beating a man unconscious in the bathroom of a San Luis Obispo pub.
John Ryan Mason is accused of beating Jory Bringham unconscious in the bathroom of Pappy McGregor's Bar in San Luis Obispo in June 2011. Brigham maintains he never touched Mason, but witnesses have said they head both men fighting and swinging at each other.
The District Attorney's Office says there is a possibility that it will get a chance to present its witnesses by the end of the week.
