Trial set to begin for man charged with killing 17 year old Gabriel Salgado

The trial for the man accused of a deadly drive-by shooting in Oceano is expected to get underway Monday.

Armando Yepez is accused of shooting and killing 17 year old Gabriel Salgado last year.

Yepez was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 101 in Nipomo.

He's charged with homicide for the drive-by shooting.

Yepez also faces various gang-related charges, which he denies.

He's pleaded not guilty.
