A truck just trying to back up lands between a tree and a hard place in Santa Barbara this morning.

Santa Barbara City Fire, assisted by Santa Barbara County Fire, responded to the incident just after 9 a.m. this morning on 1819 Las Canoas Road.

According to crews, the driver was just trying to back out of his parking spot, when the passenger side of the vehicle starting slipping into an embankment.

No one was hurt and the truck drove away without incident, but the fire department was called because an elderly man in the passenger's seat was unable to get out of the car due to the angle it had landed in the ditch.
