Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a shed fire Saturday afternoon.
The fire broke out a little before 4:30 p.m. between two homes in the 5600 block of Marbury Drive in Goleta.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a shed engulfed in flames. They were able to put the fire out in about five minutes.
The shed had extensive damage, and the two homes next to it were damaged slightly on the outside and had smoke damage. Firefighters say the houses are safe to live in, and the families will probably be temporarily evacuated so fire officials can get the smoke out of the homes. A fence was partially burned by the fire, but there wasn't much damage because firefighters were able to put the fire out so quickly.
