Two injured after head-on car accident

Two people are in the hospital after their cars collided on Highway 101 and Dos Pueblos Canyon Wednesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened when a man driving southbound on Highway 101 rear ended another car and lost control of his vehicle. The driver crossed over the median and hit another car head on in northbound lanes.
Both drivers involved in the head-on collision were taken to a local hospital with major injuries.
The accident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
