Two injured in motorcycle crash

Two people suffered major injuries in a motorcycle crash on Monday.

It happened just before 10:30 am on Highway 101 at North Mission Street in the San Miguel area.

The California Highway Patrol says Donald Perry, 65, of Monterey, was driving a Harley Davidson southbound, when he came up behind a vehicle that was going only about 45 mph.

They say he tried to brake, but hit the right rear corner of the other vehicle.

Perry and his passenger, Judy Anderson, 65, of Seaside, were thrown from the motorcycle.

They both suffered major injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
