Two people arrested following carjacking in Paso Robles

Paso Robles Police arrested a man and a woman on Tuesday after they say a man was carjacked.

It happened at around 9:15 pm in the 3200 block of Spring Street.

The victim told police he was returning to his car when he was approached by two armed men who demanded his keys.

The victim turned over his keys and one of the men drove away in his car. The other man drove off in another vehicle.

Police found the victim's car a short distance away. The stereo and some personal property had been removed.

SLO County Probation officers then found the suspected getaway vehicle at a service station. Police say two men and two women were inside, along with a knife and some of the victim's property.

The victim identified one of the men in the car as one of the robbers. Police arrested William Lee, 31, of Paso Robles, on suspicion of carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon.

A woman in the car, Nacowa Penner, 33, of Paso Robles, was arrested for a probation violation.
