Two people hospitalized after car hits trees and rolls over in Goleta

Two people were taken to a local hospital Monday morning after their car hit some trees and rolled over.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Monday on the northbound side of Highway 101 between the Fairview Avenue and Los Caneros Road off-ramps in Goleta.

Santa Barbara County Firefighters, an AMR Ambulance, CHP, and Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the accident.

According to firefighters, the car had drifted off the roadway and into some trees. The car rolled over and two people were trapped inside. Firefighters were able to get them both out of the car. The two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries, and then they were taken to a local hospital for additional treatment.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine what caused the accident.
