The first truck fire happened on Santa Maria Mesa Road around 9:30 am.
A witness says the big rig was carrying crop seedlings, a tire blew out and the driver had to pull over.
The tire then caught fire and engulfed the trailer.
The driver tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher that didn't work.
Eventually, Santa Barbara County Fire was able to put out the fire.
Alan Reasner, witness, said, "I was concerned a little bit about the area across the street, we do have some dry brush over there. I thought if a tire would explode it would throw firey material across the street."
Another truck caught fire on Clark Avenue in Orcutt Monday afternoon, this one a garbage truck.
Santa Barbara County Fire says it started in the engine compartment and spread to the passenger side of the vehicle.
No word yet on what caused the fire and no one was injured.
