Some UC Santa Barbara students and faculty will be going without some necessities Wednesday, to get a strong message out to University officials.
It's for the One-day Fast for Education. Organizers say students, faculty and staff plan to go without either food, class or work to raise awareness of budget cuts, furloughs, fee increases and program cutbacks.
The fast begins at 9:00a.m. Wednesday and ends Thursday at noon.
