Power is slowly being restored to the Unit 2 reactor at Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant. Unit 2 shut down as a precaution on Thursday.
PG&E spokesperson Tom Cuddy says the combination of dust on a piece of equipment and recent rainfall caused an electircal short.
Crews safely returned the reactor to service late Monday night. They are slowly bringing the power up in unit 2.
Cuddy says he doesn't know when Unit 2 will be back at full power.
